Chair, Amy Lathen, District 2

Vice-Chair, Sallie Clark, District 3

Dennis Hisey,  District 4

Small-business owner and County Commissioner representing District 3, Sallie Clark, said of the endorsement, “I’m grateful for the support of the Housing and Building Association. Especially during these challenging economic times, our partnerships in working to sustain and create jobs in the private sector is very important. Part of that includes taking a business friendly attitude and looking for new ways to reduce burdensome regulations while balancing the needs of the community.”

According to Ralph Braden, Vice President with Colorado Springs based Nor’wood  Limited, LLC and Chairman of the HBA Political Action Committee, “all three of our El Paso County Commissioners have demonstrated a strong record of support for the American Dream of home ownership and the associated contributions the Housing and Building industry brings to the El Paso County economy through jobs and economic development.  We are pleased to be giving each of these commissioners our endorsement and we wish them every success with their upcoming re-elections.”

“We are very fortunate to have such excellent representatives for the citizens of El Paso County and we greatly appreciate the dedication of these elected officials as they understand the need to eliminate barriers to business so we can build new jobs and strengthen our economy after this recession.  We applaud their efforts on behalf of our association and will be working hard to ensure Amy, Sallie, and Dennis return to represent us on the Board of County Commissioners,” said John Cassiani, Project Executive, Banning Lewis Ranch and 2012 Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs.
